The Prince’s Rainforests Project recognises the key role that business will play in helping keep rainforests at the heart of the climate change agenda.

We are backed by 16 of the world’s major companies who sit on our Steering Committee and are supported and advised by numerous other businesses. We have a partnership with other initiatives established by HRH The Prince of Wales such as Business in the Community, the International Business Leaders Forum and the Business and the Environment Programme. 

At this stage we are asking business to consider the following:

  • Sign up as a company and as an individual in the Show Your Support area 
  • Encourage employees, shareholders and other stakeholders to do the same
  • Link from your company website to this Project site
  • Learn more about what’s happening to the rainforests and how this affects our planet
  • Investigate the supply chain to make sure nothing is procured on your company’s behalf which contributes to rainforest destruction
  • Use only FSC Certified products for stationery
  • Review the company’s investment portfolio to see whether any of positions contribute to rainforest destruction
  • Consider offsetting the company carbon footprint by protecting areas of rainforest
  • Use all channels available to lobby responsible partners to put rainforests at the top of their agenda
